Over the next few weeks, I’ll be participating in a photography mini-workshop called ‘Finding YOUR Joy’ with the lovely Kelly Willette of Willette Designs. The premise is awesome: guidance and inspiration to get out from behind the lens of our cameras and turn the focus on ourselves.
As photographers, and even more so as mothers, we tend to forget to include ourselves in our photographs. But we owe it to our families (and ourselves!) to document our lives. Not only will our children thank us in twenty years, but we just may grow and learn something about ourselves in the process. I’ve decided to share my progress in self-portraiture during the workshop here on my blog, and I encourage each of you to turn your camera on yourselves too.
Time to get out from behind of the camera, own our beauty and our lives, and find OUR joy!
