I’ve been unplugged for the past five days and I’ve missed you all! This past weekend I traveled out of town to attend the annual EOD Memorial events at Eglin AFB. What a wonderful, exhausting, honoring, emotional, and fun weekend. Mother’s Day happened to fall on the same weekend this year, which just added to the emotions. Along the way I managed to catch something and I’ve spent the past two days super sick, so it will be another day or two of rest and recovery before I am back to post a recap of the weekend.
But during my absence, I wanted to point you toward a good friend’s blog. I met Brenda through the lovely group of widows on Twitter and we have grown closer over the past few months through our activity on another group we are involved in, Widowed Village. (More to come on this wonderful group later!) Brenda is an amazing person and writer, open and honest and heartfelt. She has been through a lot and inspires many with her strength to carry on after loss. She recently asked me to share my thoughts on the death of Osama Bin Laden in a Guest Post on her blog. Please feel free to check out my Guest Post and take a look around her blog, Crazy Widow. I’ll be back in a few days! <3
