No one likes to read the fine print, myself included, but the FTC requires that all bloggers provide a disclosure when receiving any sort of perk for anything on their blog. So, voila!
I didn’t start this blog with the intention or even the hope of ever receiving anything for it, except the satisfaction and clarity that comes with pouring your thoughts out in words and the potential for connections with others. But as the blog began to grow, I started getting offers for other sorts of compensation. Namely, paid posts and product reviews.
The majority of these offers I do not take. Honestly, I’m pretty picky about what I want to put up here for you guys. If it is not something that I am familiar with, or that I feel doesn’t ‘fit’ with my readers, I’m not going to put it up just to make a buck, you know? This blog started out painfully authentic and will continue to be so as long as I am writing it! But occasionally I will receive an offer for something that I think will benefit you guys or myself and decide to share it. This might be a freebie products that I receive in exchange for writing a review (good or bad), or it might be a company that compensates me for writing a post about them or their services.
You can be assured that the majority of posts on NYAW are not written and will not be written in the future for any other purpose except simply blogging my life. And for the few posts that I am compensated for, it will be clearly noted at the very beginning of the post. Your trust is important to me!

Now, for the legal jargon version of the above:

And of course I saved the best for last, the humorous version:

Thanks, Tim! :P
